Ballantine Solar Farm

About The Project

Glas Energy is preparing to develop a 70MW Solar Farm and 70MW Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) with four-hour duration at East Gippsland Shire local government area.

It is approximately 99 hectares across three parcels of land located approximately 230km east of Melbourne and 6km southwest of Bairnsdale’s town centre, currently used for agricultural activities such as cropping and sheep grazing.

This website has been created to provide information to the wider community. Glas Energy is also in the process of preparing a program that aims to contribute value to the local area in Bairnsdale. As part of this, Glas Energy is committed to keeping the community informed at each stage of the project from planning through to construction.
